Overview

The Digital Media Analyst is responsible for the tagging and analysis of digital media and is accountable for delivering actionable, data‑driven insights into Deakin’s digital media performance. This role ensures best‑practice tracking and reporting across all paid media channels and operates primarily within the Adobe Analytics suite (Adobe Analytics, Launch Tag Manager, SDK) and Tealium CDP (audience creation).

Reporting to the Performance Lifecycle Manager, the Digital Media Analyst will:

  • Ensure best‑practice conversion tracking by designing, implementing and managing tags across key conversion events to enable robust optimisation and reporting.
  • Build and enhance analytics dashboards combining on‑site behaviour and paid media metrics using Adobe Analytics and Tableau to track campaign and program performance.
  • Lead audience creation, testing and optimisation through Tealium CDP, supporting activation strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse and optimise cross‑channel media performance, identifying testing opportunities, monitoring outcomes, and delivering insight‑led recommendations to the Digital Team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to improve cross‑channel tracking, attribution capability, and overall maturity of media and analytics implementation.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Knowledge of a range of analytics platforms and media consoles such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google suite of products (DV360, SA360, CM360), Adwords, Bight Edge.
  • Experience of working in digital insights, digital media, digital campaign analysis or similar role.
  • Media agency experience is not mandatory but will be preferred.
