About the role:

The primary purpose of the Digital Producer and Designer is to operate and maintain the Nyaal Precinct and coordinate the development of content for the Nyaal 360 degree Cinema. In collaboration with academic staff and partners, the incumbent will design and develop content and lead content project management from conception, delivery and review.

As a member of SCCA’s Creative Technology Group within Faculty Services, the incumbent will assist with the development and implementation of 360 degree teaching and learning assets for the schools in the Arts and Education Faculty as a priority, with scope to assist other faculties, research projects and the wider community, when possible.

As a Digital Producer and Designer, you will:

  • ​Manage Nyaal 360-degree Cinema content, including EOI administration, content brief and storyboard development, project management, pedagogical tool implementation, risk and compliance oversight, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Oversee the filming and editing of high-quality 360-degree videos using industry-standard equipment and software, maintaining a focus on innovation and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate interactions with students, staff, and visitors by providing tours, operating experiences, and addressing technical and operational inquiries to enhance the precinct's accessibility and appeal.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an engaging digital presence that showcases the faculty's teaching and research, supporting initiatives like student recruitment and research promotion.
  • Work closely with the Creative Technologies Group and other faculty members to ensure content aligns with academic goals, and oversee equipment maintenance and compliance with safety protocols.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in film and television, digital media, design, communications or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in content creation for teaching purposes.
  • Excellent visual story telling experience and stakeholder management experience.
