About the role:

The Senior Lecturer, Education-focused Academic will lead unit and course teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes. The position will lead growing, increasingly productive, high-quality scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs.
The Education-focused Academic will engage in and increasingly develop and lead academic or other collaborations that enable novel and high-quality teaching methodologies in the organisational psychologydiscipline area. This Level C Lecturer position within the Master of Psychology (Organisational) program will have a strong teaching and learning focus. The successful candidate will have experience in post graduate unit chairing and teaching in organisational psychology programs focused on competency-based learning and assessment. They will be required to supervise master’s level theses and demonstrate scholarly teaching practices in the discipline of organisational psychology. The applicant must be registered with AHPRA as a psychologist, have an endorsement in organisational psychology and Psychology Board of Australia supervisor status.

This position is suited to a person with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching, a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.

As a Senior Lecturer in Organisational Psychology, Education-focused, you will:

• Lead Teaching Teams and Curriculum Development: Oversee unit and course teaching teams and collaborate with other faculty teams to develop effective curricula and learning materials. This includes taking on leadership roles to review and refine units and courses.
  
  
• Integrate Industry and Research into Course Design: Incorporate industry, clinical, and research practices into unit and course design to enhance student learning experiences, engagement, success, and available resources.
  
  
• Innovate Curriculum Design and Delivery: Lead the development or adoption of innovative approaches in curriculum design within courses. Implement learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across various levels and modes of delivery.
  
  
• Create Collaborative and Inclusive Learning Environments: Design collaborative learning opportunities at the course level. Develop accessible and inclusive materials and practices to support a diverse range of learners.
  
  
• Develop Effective Assessment and Feedback Practices: Design meaningful assessment tasks and rubrics at both unit and course levels. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to help learners achieve desired outcomes. Lead the moderation of assessment tasks and continuously adapt practices to improve learning outcomes.
  
  

To be successful, you’ll have:

• A master’s degree in Organisational Psychology and a PhD in a discipline related to organisational psychology.
• Registered psychologist with endorsement in organisational psychology.
• Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as a board-approved supervisor.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and learning in the field of organisational psychology at the postgraduate level.
• Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
• Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs, including innovative curriculum design, competency-based authentic assessments, and research supervision.
• Evidence of leadership in scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate programs, including innovative curriculum design and education development focused on organisational psychology competencies.
• Higher Education Academy (HEA) fellowship (desirable).
• University-wide reputation in the scholarship of learning and teaching, underpinned by publications in quality journals and/or conference presentations and/or success in obtaining funding for education innovation and/or teaching and learning awards.
• Positive engagement with research, community, industry, and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
• Demonstrated capacity and passion for leadership in teaching and administration.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
