As a Director, Prospective Students you will:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with Deakin’s goals and future requirements. Recognize the differing working styles of individuals and factor this into the management of people and tasks. Instigate continuous improvement activities and respond flexibly to changing demands to drive progress.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Build teams with complementary skills and allocate resources effectively to deliver results and outcomes for the University and its students. Provide guidance and support through clear performance standards, timely praise, and balanced constructive feedback. Deal with under-performance promptly while facilitating growth and development.
- Partner with university-wide colleagues and key stakeholders to investigate major issues affecting operations and stimulate the development of strategies to resolve them, operating within the constraints of University objectives and professional standards.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with appointment at level.
- Extensive experience conceptualising, developing and implementing contemporary solutions, strategies and services to achieve a large organisation’s objectives.
- Demonstrated capability to build and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
- Proven ability to exercise judgement, influence others, be flexible and adaptive to environmental changes and priorities, and gain support for new plans, programs or initiatives.
